Activate your license

SpeakLane requires an active license before it will start dictation. If the menu bar shows "License required", use the steps below.

Where to find your license key

• Your key is delivered after purchase in the confirmation email.
• If you cannot find it, contact support at support@speaklane.app.

Enter and validate your license

1. Click the SpeakLane icon in the menu bar.
2. Choose Settings.
3. Open the License tab.
4. Paste your key (format like SPEAKLANE-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX).
5. Click Activate License.

Once validated, you will see "License active" with an optional expiration date.

Replace or clear a license

Use Replace License to remove the saved key, then paste a new one.

Troubleshooting

• Make sure you have an internet connection for validation.
• Remove spaces or line breaks; keys are case-insensitive.
• If you still see "License required", reopen Settings > License and activate again.
